Welcome to OffTorque! This guide walks you through joining the platform and completing your first job from start to finish. Please follow every step and write down anything that doesn't work, feels unclear, or could be improved, your feedback is critical before we launch.

Step-by-Step: How to Join & Get Paid for Mobile Car Detailing

Visit the Website
  • Open your browser and go to www.offtorque.com
  • Scroll to the "5 More Pros Joining OffTorque" card beneath the main service grid and click it to see Mobile Car Detailing and the other 4 newest trades

Create Your Detailing Account
  • Click "Join as a Pro" on the home page
  • Select "Pro" on the next screen, this is the shared role for every trade on OffTorque; you'll pick Mobile Car Detailing as your service category in the next step
  • Choose "Sign Up"
  • Enter your full name, email address, phone number, and a password (at least 8 characters)
  • Check the consent box and click "Create Account"

Already have an account? Click "Sign In" instead.

Complete Your Profile
  • Go to the Profile tab after signing in
  • Fill in your service area (city or ZIP code you work in)
  • Set your service radius, how far you are willing to travel
  • Enter your years of experience
  • Select the services you offer: exterior wash & wax, paint correction, interior vacuum & wipe-down, deep interior shampoo, full detail (sedan), full detail (SUV/truck), headlight restoration, ceramic coating
  • Upload a profile photo (optional but recommended)
  • Click "Save Profile"

Verify Your Identity & Connect Your Bank Account
  • In your Profile tab, go to Connect Bank Account and click "Set Up Payouts", you will be taken to Stripe
  • Follow Stripe's steps — this verifies your identity and sets up your payouts in one flow, you will need a valid government-issued ID and your bank account details
  • Return to OffTorque when done, your verification and payout status will update

OffTorque never sees or stores your ID documents, they go directly to Stripe.

You must complete this step before you can accept jobs or send payment links to customers.

Wait for Admin Approval
  • Our team reviews your profile and verification result
  • You will receive an email when your account is approved
  • Once approved, a Verified badge will appear on your profile
  • You can now accept jobs from customers

During testing, approval may be done manually by the OffTorque team, this will be faster than in production.

Accept a Job
  • Open your Inbox tab to see incoming detailing requests
  • Review the customer's vehicle type, service needed, and location
  • Click "Accept" to take the job
  • The customer will be notified that you accepted

Chat with the Customer
  • Open the chat on the accepted job
  • Confirm the exact address, arrival time, and any specific vehicle details
  • Keep all communication inside the app

Complete the Job
  • Travel to the customer's location
  • Update the job status to "In Progress" when you start work
  • Update status to "Completed" when the job is done

Send a Payment Link & Get Paid
  • On the completed job, click "Generate Payment Link"
  • Enter the total amount, a short job description, and the customer's email
  • Click "Send Payment Link"
  • The customer receives the link, pays by card, and you receive the funds in your bank account

A small platform fee is deducted automatically. You keep the rest.

How Earnings Work

You set your own rate. OffTorque charges a small platform fee on each job, the rest goes directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. Payouts typically arrive within 2 business days. You are an independent contractor, not an OffTorque employee.
